Just one of many day trips in the uK by steam hauled loco, in this case from Crewe to Holyhead via Manchester, Chester and the North Wales coast. Hauled by (Gresley Class) LNER Class A4 60009, now named "The Union of South Africa", orignally LNER 4488.
The photos here show a short trip to Frodsham on Sunday 22 July 2012 just to see the loco, followed by the full round trip from Frodsham to Holyhead on Sunday 12 August.
