Situated on Ynys Mon (Anglesea) about half way between the Menai Bridge and Biwmaris. A 5* hotel it may be but we won't be going back after a very disappointing visit in July 2021. The setting is magnificent, high up overlooking the menai Straits with well laid-out and extensive grounds down to the shore; the public rooms and views over the straits befit a Grade II listed, mid 19th century Victorian gothic mansion; the food is excellent taken in a wonderful dining room but, at least some of the bedrooms, are small, pokey, poorly furnished and frankly, uninviting. As for access for anybody with a disability - forget it.
