16 miles from Bridgenorth in SHropshire to Kidderminster in Worcestershire, the Severn Valley Railway is a heritage railway, predominently steam hauled.
Built between 1858 and 1862 and incorporated into the Great Western Railway, the line was never profitable. It closed to passenger and freight traffic in 1963, before re-opening as a heritage railway in 1970.
