Our first visit to Kastellorizo, 70 km east of Rodos, tucked into the Turkish coast, a mile from Kas, so popular with day drippers. The island bears many resmblances to Symi and Chalki, being little more than a natural harbour on a large lump of limestone and no water supply. Many islanders emigrated to Australia in the 1920s and 2nd and 3rd generation Greek Aussies are now returning to restore the family properties.
