The first full day. Up at 5:30am to leave camp at 6 for a full day in the Masai Mara National Park.
The main interest in the Masia Mara at this time of year is annual migration of 1 milion+ wildebees and zebras following the rains southward into Tanzania and the Serengetti National Park. Unseasonal rain in August and early Sepetber resulted in fresh grass in the masai Mara so the wildebeest were in np rush to go anywhere. So while the spectacle of a river crossing may not have been there, the Masai Mara and the Mara North Conservancy were awash with game - especially lions!
We saw lots of lions
