A trip to Rutland Water to photograph Ospryes presented an opportunity to revisit Peterborough Cathedral which has established itself as one of my favourites. Although it was chosen as the burial site of two queens, Peterborough is not foremost in most people's list of the great Cathedrals. That is a great shame because the former Benedictine abbey possesses a truly elegant simplicity and consistency of style which amplifies the Gothic characteristics of space and light. I think it is a truly wonderful place.
