A long morning drive to the Great Ruaha River, to the west of Kwihala Camp. But first, only just outside the camp, while following fresh tracks of wild dogs the guides spot a leopard in the early morning light. Then, some distance from where we left them yesterday looking after their cubs, two lionesses returning from hunting, sporting wounds clearly limping from their encounter. In the afternoon another drive to the south of the camp and another leopard, this time snoozing in a tree.
