A photographic workshop, with John Wright of Photographers on Safari, At Horn Mill Trout Farm, Rutland, near Oakham: an evening session followed by a very early morning (start at 4 am) session.. Herons and ospreys feed on a lake stocked with 10,000 rainbow trout. Despite all my attempts at wildlife photography I have never managed to develop the skills needed to catch birds in flight; slow moving birds such as herons are relativley easy but the faster birds, such as osprey, remain elusive. The photos in this collection are not great but they are the best I have ever achieved.
Updated July 2023: Another two seesions in miserable weather , heavy rain at times, and only 1 osprey diving in near dark over 9 hours.
