A long but wonderful day of photography with elephants and lion cubs. In the moring a 6 hour safari along the banks of the River Mdonia, repeated in the afternoon but extended into the night, accompanied by an armed ranger from the National Park Service. The planned 2 hour night safari had added drama: a puncture, a flat spare and over an hour waiting outside the vehicles for a replacement tyre.
